Arkaine is back in Azeroth!

About bloody time, too.

Anyway, within five minutes of logging into Burning Crusade (and logging into the game in general for the first time in about 11 months or so), I had deleted EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY CHARACTERS ON ALL REALMS. Including my Undead Mage, Arkaine, on which this blog was originally based.

Then, I created an Undead Rogue on the server of Smolderthorn (an old realm where my old level 22 Undead Warlock named Bloodspire was part of the PCPowerPlay Forums guild known affectionately as "Yellow Boots"). From the get go, everything was ruined by horrible lag. In fact, I was disconnected three times that night. Subsequently my now-level 8 Undead Rogue named Sorgen was deleted.

I then set my eyes on the server of Boulderfist once more, and started a Blood Elf Mage, once again named Arkaine.

And there was a VERY noticeable lack of lag. Actually, a very complete lack of lag. I was understandably impressed... until just two minutes later.

My first experience as a Blood Elf led the players around me to assume I was completely new to the game (it should be noted that I have played WoW since early 2005). While that was perhaps ever so slightly disconcerting although shruggable, my fears that the addition of Blood Elves to the Horde might attract the wretched kind of players who assume the form of FEMALE Humans/Night Elves simply to run around not wearing ANYTHING and gasp at the apparent sexiness of their avatars (and in some cases, even masturbate to them dancing on-screen) finally materialized when I met a female Blood Elf standing in one spot. She was wearing NOTHING.

Alliance player for sure.

Thus, I initiated conversation.

Arkaine>> Play Alliance much?
Him>> yeah
Arkaine>> so... your character's gender is female, your race is Blood Elf, and you're not wearing any armor bar that dagger holstered on the side of your avatar's bikini?
Him>> so?
Arkaine>> The Horde has no need of your wretched kind. Go back to the Alliance, nub.
Him>> QQ?
Arkaine>> But what's there to QQ about?
Him>> stfu
Him>> horde sucks anyways
Arkaine>> Horde is for mature players only.
Him>> ROFL

I'm surprised he didn't put me on his Ignore list.

Ten minutes later:

[General]Arkaine>> Any supersaiyans around? :P
[General]Player>> lol prolly

Later, when logging off, I quickly made my Blood Elf Rogue and named it Sorgen.

I'm hoping to divide equal time between Arkaine and Sorgen. The latter is probably going to have a long-term career as a level 29 BG twink, but Arkaine's definitely going to Outland.

Ark
